When you're a self-published author, you don't have a boss who sets deadlines for you. If you aren't disciplined enough to set them for yourself and stick to them, you end up in my position. A year and a half after releasing Missing, and I still haven't finished the first draft of Stolen. It was my intention to get it done by Halloween, so I could do NaNo for another project. Instead, I agreed to do a new show the last weekend of October and spent the month rehearsing, which pretty much eliminated my writing time for the month.
That being said, I'm close. I'm wrestling with how to being the story to a close and then I will be looking for an Alpha reader. The book is already longer than Missing was, and I think there's at least 10K more words in it. So I'm giving myself until the end of November to get it finished. Hopefully before then. One good thing that happened this month is the audiobook went live on Audible. Check it out here. Now, enough of distracting myself. I've got some writing to do.
